“Nett, mit einem großen ABER !”
The location is great; with the windows closed you hardly hear the tourist groups below. The lady in charge was very, very friendly and eager to help. Despite the old walls everything felt clean. We booked a room with its own bathroom and toilet, which nowadays is taken for granted, but both were outside the room, so you had to walk through the corridor that also leads to the stairs. Every time you opened the door you heard a loud creak, the key didn’t always fit right away, and the old, squeaky lock made it hard to lock and unlock, especially at night when you’re not sure if anyone is coming. The double bed creaked with every move, and the single beds were very narrow and short. Overall it was nice, but we wouldn’t book it again.
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was solid, giving a nice start to the day.
The staff were incredibly friendly, which made the visit enjoyable. Unfortunately, the coffee machine in the room was subpar and the capsules were missing.
The place is in a great spot and the whole vibe feels rustic, which I liked. The rooms and the common areas keep that cozy, old‑world feel. Breakfast was top‑notch, definitely a highlight.
The setting is beautiful, and the room was spacious and comfortable—perfect for exploring the city center. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, but that’s a small price to pay for staying in such a historic spot.
