I appreciated how clean the hotel was and the friendliness of the staff, but when I requested a crib it turned out dirty, with holes, and had no sheets—just an empty crib. I had booked a room with a pool view, yet the hotel gave me a parking view at the same price.

I loved the atrium in the center of the hotel—it’s such a cool concept! The staff were incredible, the room was great, and the location was a ten out of ten. Breakfast at Tradewinds was great, and the main swimming pool was perfect. The water park was under construction when we went to the pool area, so the water slides weren’t working, and the toddler splash area looked a bit run down and definitely could use some TLC.

The hotel is clean and geared toward adults, but it advertises itself as a resort and family‑friendly. Unfortunately, there was nothing for kids except the pool—no other activities. I would not recommend this hotel for families because you’re in the rain with nothing to do. We had planned to stay two nights but ended up staying only one. It’s a good hotel for adults but not for kids.

I arrived in my Tesla Model Y, the best‑selling car and one of the top EVs worldwide, and needed to charge. I had to pay for valet charging, only to be told an additional $10 was required, and then that there were no Tesla chargers available. I downgraded to a 44‑dollar parking rate, but then I was told a mysterious $48 charge would be added on top of the nightly fee. A stay I booked for about $120 a night for three nights turned into an $800 bill—absurd. The hotel has been my go‑to for Halloween horror nights for seven years, but its downstairs slide feels like watching a dear relative slowly lose themselves to dementia. No restaurants actually serve dinner; only lame room service in a lame room. I will book elsewhere next time. It’s been real, but we’ve outgrown you. Best of luck.
