“Overall we love our stay and breakfast was good. The host was also very friendly and accommodating. She even dropped us”
The property is very cute and the host is friendly, but getting there is a bit tricky.

The house was stunning, immaculate, and gave a true Japanese feel amid nature. The elderly hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even though they didn’t speak English, we communicated smoothly through translation apps. The property is a bit out of town and only reachable by Bus No. 4, which doesn’t run often, but the host kindly offered rides to the town center. I’d suggest taking a taxi instead, about ¥2,500, which is more convenient—just expect a short wait since taxis are scarce in Kamakura.

The house is very pretty and spotlessly clean, with four guest rooms. We stayed there only on our way through. The owner is very accommodating and speaks English well. Everything you need is available, from a small tea corner and a microwave to breakfast in a cozy dining hall. The house is somewhat difficult to reach because of its location and narrow streets, but there is a parking spot about 200 m away that’s easy to access by car.

The stay was extraordinarily lovely, with a host who was very kind and helpful, impeccable taste in décor, and food presented with such quality and care that it was a truly authentic Japanese experience. The only downside is its remoteness, making it a bit hard to get into town; but if you’re only going there for a meal, forget it—eat here! The dishes are cooked to absolute perfection.

Everything was just right, and the course meals were truly delicious! The only issue was the slope near the arrival area: the downhill path (uphill on the way back) had uneven paving and was a bit narrow, which made me a little uneasy.
