Finding the place was a bit tricky and it looked a bit worn out; the historic building has a pretty exterior but the interior needs a facelift, so overall it didn’t feel worth the money.

We had a very pleasant stay; the hotel is cozy and well decorated, our room was spacious, clean, and had a nice bathroom; the staff were super friendly and helpful, the location in Idar‑Oberstein was convenient, and the breakfast was tasty with a good selection – we’d stay here anytime.

The room was modern and nicely furnished, the shower was strong and hot, the staff were very nice, the hotel was easy to reach, and the popular Asian restaurant on the ground floor is highly recommended. The areas in front of the breakfast room and the reception felt a bit cluttered, the building is large and somewhat confusing – a few signs would help, and I only found the guest fridge by accident.

Large, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast, and top‑class service from the owner and her staff; bicycles were safely stored in the garage provided by the owner, and the hotel is located below the rock church in the centre of Idar‑Oberstein.

Nice room, city centre location, but no usable elevator and the parking is 300 m away.
