The location and the owner were outstanding! We were warmly welcomed by the owner and received great advice for our activities. The personal atmosphere and friendly conversations really stood out. We thoroughly enjoyed dining on the terrace with a fantastic valley view in the evening. The next morning, we started the day energized by a delicious breakfast. The small bungalows are spread far apart, allowing us to fully focus on nature and the sounds of the rainforest. This accommodation is highly recommended and should not be missed during a stay in the Blyde River Canyon.

Everything was exactly as one would imagine and wish for at this place. An extremely well‑designed garden with a pool. Very friendly and helpful host (speaks German). All in all very pleasant. Thank you for this hospitality.

“Top!”

We spent some truly enjoyable days at Bohm's Zeederberg. Renate, the host, was very friendly and caring, giving us personal attention and great local activity advice. We even received a room upgrade! Thanks to her, we booked an amazing game drive in Kruger Park with an excellent safari ranger who picked us up from the property. On other days we drove the Panorama Route ourselves (one day is a bit too short for it). In the mornings we had a nice breakfast, and the terrace offered a beautiful view. It was great that we could dine three courses at the property (though it cost 400 ZAR) with good wine. The property’s garden is beautifully landscaped with lovely trees and birds, a very peaceful spot! The accommodation is malaria‑free, sits at a higher altitude, and is a half‑hour drive from Kruger Park, so since we only went to the park during the day we didn’t need malaria tablets. The Wi‑Fi at the reception, restaurant, and terrace is good, but we knew beforehand that there was no Wi‑Fi in the room; we did have mobile internet reception, so we were reachable. The décor isn’t new, but that fits the vibe of the place.

“Authentisches Vountry House”

What a find! This family-run hotel has a unique charm that's hard to resist. The location is stunning, with a panoramic view that's simply breathtaking. Renate, the owner, pours her heart and soul into making this place special, and it shows in every detail. The food is excellent, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home here.
