“Great place for a stop over”
The building is beautiful and the restaurant serves good food. The rooms and common areas could use a small update and refresh.

The location and the building are very nice. The rooms were dirty, everywhere with cobwebs. They smelled like sewage and everything was broken. The staff never seemed to hear about maintenance. The dinner was truly awful. We had fish with mashed potatoes; the mash was good, but the fish was rubbery, so we didn’t eat it. The breakfast was very sparse. I expected better.

We’ve stayed here several times, always just a one‑night stopover. The room was decent, but it could use a bit more space, especially when traveling with a large dog like us. The terrace is inviting for sitting, and we ate some prepared snacks there. The food is okay, nothing special. The main restaurant, which was famously closed, is actually much nicer. We always enjoy the chateau’s setting, the old trees, and the vineyards just a short walk away. The elevator is a bit awkward – it’s helpful because it saves us from lugging luggage, but it’s narrow, jerks a lot (you wonder if you’ll get stuck), and this time the lights went out during the ride, which was really unpleasant.

The reception was great. Nothing else to add.

The property is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is tasty, with high‑quality items including delicious pastries. One small note: avoid leaving some fruit juices in their plastic bottles, it’s not very pleasant. First, the room is the Suite Lamartine, about 50 m² excluding the bathroom, but it’s not furnished – a large empty space with a few pieces of furniture scattered around, making it a rest area lacking charm… not cozy at all. The bathroom severely lacks surfaces to put your things on. Second, the front‑desk staff, while friendly, is not very competent. They know little about the rooms, can’t give us the front‑desk internal phone number, and their reservation system is poorly managed. They seemed to be in training; if so, the skill preparation should have happened before handling guests.
