“Sehr einfache Unterkunft für alle, die Ruhe und Natur mögen”
I was the only visitor, so I could pick between a dark, musty room (no photos exist for a reason) or a platform with a mosquito net and stunning views. Thanks to my sleeping bag, it wasn’t too cold up there at night. The only sounds are animals; the mountain feels utterly isolated. The place is very basic—plumps toilet and bucket shower, water fetched from the river. The owner is very warm and cooked a tasty dinner and breakfast for me. The coffee and cocoa, freshly picked from the bush, are fantastic—best in all of Togo. There’s no Wi‑Fi and the mobile signal is weak; if that matters, don’t book here. The drive up the mountain takes a long time and the road is rough; a quick trip into town isn’t possible. A half‑hour walk leads to a small, beautiful waterfall that you can enjoy alone if you’re lucky. I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are truly dark, musty holes; I’m glad I didn’t have to sleep there!
