An excellent location, near Miradouro de San Pedro de Alcantara. Very easy access. It is a hostel in a very popular area. Don't expect high levels of comfort, but rather a very good price for those who aren't too demanding

The staff were very friendly, but the facilities were in poor condition: the toilet wouldn’t flush after four uses, the curtains in the room were torn, the coat rack was broken, and the boys’ showers lacked doors. In one of the three boys’ showers the door was broken, and in another the pipe was broken so water sprayed everywhere. This isn’t the host’s fault, but I’d like to note that the other guests we met were young English‑speaking people who come to party in the area’s bars, arriving late and not caring about noise or the rest of the guests.

The location was spectacular, but climbing the stairs to the third floor was a challenge for my 72‑year‑old self.

The property sits directly above several bars on a pedestrian street, and the noise, lack of air conditioning, and 26 °C heat made it impossible to sleep; it’s not fit for purpose. We left after the first night, and no compensation was offered by Barrio Alto Hostel, who apparently claimed we should have known.
