Wow, the most perfect stay at La Sciabica in beautiful Scilla. Staying in the Chianalea zone of Scilla was incredible. The room was so beautiful, clean spacious, light, with a lovely bathroom too. The balcony overlooking the crystal clear sea was magical. Delicious breakfast and a lovely host, the marvellous Pia! She recommended a day trip for us, museums, restaurants etc. Pia even sent me and my brother off with a bag of Calabrian sweet snacks

The location above the sea is nice, the room is fine but looks onto the restaurant area so not very private. There is no bar fridge, food isn’t allowed in the room, and you can’t sit and drink in the communal area. Breakfast was poor. The rules felt strange and uncomfortable, and it was a bit expensive.

Fantastic location with a balcony over the sea in the old fishing village and the best part of the town. Easy parking a hundred meters or so away in the harbour (October). Good sized room, great breakfast with plenty of choice. Easy walk to the beach on the level. Great swimming in warm Med. The best part was Francesco and Maria, lovely hosts.

Quiet location, clean. Friendly host. Directly on the sea. Very difficult to reach, which was really a hassle. The parking is public and not reserved. Price/value for the off‑season is not very good.
