The place sits in a great spot, the facilities are solid, and the dinner was tasty. The staff weren’t as friendly as they were at other hotels I’ve stayed in.

I really appreciated being taken out to watch the stars; it was the first time I’d ever seen so many constellations in a real night sky and gotten explanations for them. In the morning the shōji alone let in a bit too much light.

Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, the staff were friendly, and it was a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature. Finding the hotel’s driveway was a little tricky.
