“Great.”
The room was beautiful and large, and very clean. Breakfast was great and included at the separate restaurant next door—but they seemed a bit unwelcoming once they realized our breakfast was free and we weren't new paying customers.

The breakfast at the diner right next door was excellent, there was a free early check‑in, and the property offered both a swimming pool and a whirlpool.

I stepped into the room and was immediately struck by how spacious and bright it was, with the beds dressed in beautiful coverlets that added a touch of elegance. The room was spotless and comfortable, featuring a table with two chairs—though the armrests made it a bit cramped to sit—and a small sofa, plus a balcony overlooking the Columbia River. The shower offered an easy walk‑in entry and there were two sinks. We also received a coupon for a complimentary sit‑down breakfast at the restaurant next door, which turned out to be quite good. On the downside, the sinks are located outside the bathroom, which can disturb guests using them at night. Even worse, freight trains run along the tracks between the hotel and the river all day and night; we managed to sleep through the noise and even enjoyed watching the trains pass, but light sleepers might prefer a room on the opposite side of the hotel.
I was upgraded to a river view room, and the view of the Columbia River and the Bridge of Gods was fantastic. The only drawback was that Cascade Locks itself offers very little, with just a couple of restaurants and not much else to see or do.
