“Not ready to open for guests yet.”
The facilities were basic but the hotel sits close to the lake. I accepted a cheaper airport pickup, but no one showed up, and I spent 30 minutes searching for them – I ended up taking an expensive taxi that noticed we were stranded. The next morning, renovation machinery started, and they had taken our passports (a mistake they should avoid), so I had to hunt for staff to retrieve them and book another hotel. Their “24‑hour reception” was just a building site with no staff, and I got no response to calls or emails. A builder eventually called someone who then called another person who arrived on a bike 20 minutes later so we could check out. The main issue was that they wanted us to pay extra because our luggage was still in the room – we paid just to leave! It might be a decent basic hotel once the renovations finish and they hire proper staff.
