“Zum schlafen, dem Sinn eines Hotels, unmöglich, ein furchtbarer Ort.”

The bed was okay, but the lobby, restaurant, and elevators weren't air‑conditioned. The facilities were below average, and among all the places I've visited in Indonesia, this was the worst hotel I've stayed in and it was twice as expensive as comparable accommodations in better locations. Being right next to the train station and the main street made sleeping impossible because of traffic noise, constant loudspeaker announcements, the trains, and the thin, drafty bedroom doors that let the hallway sound in at night.

The room showed its age and didn't match the pictures, so it didn't live up to expectations; there are many hotels that offer better value.

When traveling by public transport, personally I found Arte Hotel to be strategically located. There's no hassle looking for transport because there are plenty of options, especially when online transit is hard to find. The hotel is also very close to a major tourist spot and can be reached on foot. The surrounding area offers many road access choices. The staff were friendly, and even if you bring a private vehicle it doesn't feel troublesome because the staff help with parking. Cleanliness and security are guaranteed. Breakfast is simple but enjoyable. There were almost no negatives.
