The host was very welcoming and friendly, and the location is close, yet the cleanliness left something to wish for: dirty laundry on the bathroom floor and a cat litter box in the toilet that hadn’t been cleaned for days.

Nothing at all; the room was accessed through the owner’s living area, the owner’s clothes were in the room, it smelled of bleach, the owner returned with his dog to “tidy up” right before we left, the shared bathroom was dirty with the owner’s stuff, the shared toilet had a cat litter box next to it that was also dirty and uncleaned, we couldn’t stay the night, the owner didn’t ask why we were leaving in half an hour to find another room, and it’s unacceptable to offer such accommodation on your site, so we demand a refund.
