“Warm, welcoming, convenient, comfortable.”

Tari and her family were incredibly warm and welcoming and spoke very good English, so communication was easy. There’s a boy named Ravi who lives on the property and helps with anything you need at any time—he kindly did my laundry whenever I needed and handled all my rubbish and bedding. Tari also made me feel very special by hosting a dinner and inviting me to her daughter’s birthday. The place itself is probably in one of the best locations in Ahangama, surrounded by nature so there is no noise pollution, and it’s only a 5‑minute walk into the main city hub. It was such a convenient place to stay and I would 100 % stay here again if I came back. Perfect for solo travellers or couples wanting to stay for an extended period or just a few days.

Nothing positive. There are a couple of good rooms in this house, but there is also one old, smelly, moldy room at the back that they sell for the same price and with the same pictures as the other rooms. It’s on another level though. When I arrived, I realized right away that this was not the room I booked. The owner was trying to play a fool. Super annoying. You need to stop selling that room, dear owners, or at least show real pictures of it and adjust the price. It’s unfair and you deserve 1/10 for fooling your clients.

I liked having a terrace with a view of the nice garden. It’s only a 10‑minute walk to the centre. The air conditioning works very well and so does the internet. The staff are friendly. There’s a light in front of the terrace that doesn’t turn off at night, so the room is bathed in light all night, which is really annoying for sleeping. Apparently it’s for a security camera, but why not place it elsewhere? I would have liked a water fountain available. Carrying plastic bottles isn’t convenient or eco‑friendly.

I would definitely recommend staying at this property; it’s close to town and beaches but is a nice quiet area with a beautiful garden, away from the hustle and bustle. The hosts were really helpful and Ravi was a star, always helping out when we needed. We rented a scooter with them at a fair price, the room had good A/C and an ice balcony area.
