The hostel itself was charming and the staff went out of their way to help us. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen where we could whip up our own meals, and the complimentary coffee each morning was a nice way to start the day. All in all, a pleasant stay.

The place was spotless and the staff were friendly, which made it feel quiet and relaxed. Its location was spot‑on—close enough to the main sights but away from the downtown hustle. I’d definitely stay here again.

This spot had everything we needed: spotless rooms, a shared kitchen, a comfy lounge, and even a tiny garden to sit in. The staff were warm and helpful, and getting there by public transport was a breeze. It felt like a little home base in the city.

The location suited our plans, but the overall condition left a lot to be desired. The building was dirty, there were many homeless people around, and the TV never worked in either of the two rooms we stayed in; the second room also had a broken bathroom. It was a frustrating mix of convenience and upkeep issues.

The hotel offered a quiet, comfortable base right in downtown Ottawa, which was great for exploring the city. Unfortunately, the surrounding streets were crowded with a lot of itinerant people, which detracted from the overall experience.
