The village is charming just a few minutes from Lake Maggiore, and Martina was kind and helpful. The road to the village, as described, is a bit winding, and when other cars cross you have to be skillful in alternating.

The room felt very traditional, furnished like it used to be. The little balcony was nice for breakfast. We expected to sleep longer, but the voices of passersby and locals below woke us before 7 am. The floor in the room had a lot of cat fur.

The neighbours had a small party until about 1 am, a slight nuisance if you’ve driven all day and need to do the same the next day. All in all, it was good.
