“This hotel is REALISTICALLY a 2-star hotel. I do not recommend it!”
I spent a long time debating whether to write this review or not. I chose this hotel because of the reviews I’d read, and the photos showed a nice, renovated place with modern furniture. In reality, the cleanliness and maintenance were very poor. The location was convenient, just a 4‑minute walk from the train station, which was great for our city‑hopping plans, but the area was dirty and somewhat unsafe, especially at night. The staff were friendly and the building looked nice from the outside. There was a luggage storage room, trash was collected, and towels were changed daily. Many restaurants were nearby and the air conditioning worked well. I can’t understand how this place earned a three‑star rating; it was incredibly dirty. A thick layer of dust lay next to the radiators, with lots of hair. Tables and furniture surfaces were filthy, the side of the desk had food stains and dried‑up drink residue, and the sides of the rubbish bin were extremely dirty. I bought cleaning wipes to clean everything myself and was shocked by what came off – absolutely disgusting. Even the sink sides yielded fruit seeds from underneath them (we hadn’t eaten any fruit with seeds). The towels were cream‑colored and many were discolored with what looked like bleach, making me wonder if they used them to clean the bathroom between guests. The soft, plush‑like blanket on the bed seemed not to be changed between guests. The bathroom was extremely small and cramped, with a shower cabin that felt like a matchbox. The area itself was not the cleanest or safest. Reception closed at 10 PM, there was no elevator, which is common in older French buildings but still worth noting. The bed was small, and the pillows clearly needed replacement. The room was cramped. We stayed for 3 nights and it was a really bad experience. Afterward we moved to Cannes for another 4 nights at a different three‑star hotel and the service was completely different – exactly what I’d expect from a three‑star hotel. This place is basically a two‑star hotel; I do not recommend it. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.
“Excellent location for visiting Nice.”
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
“Good value for the money If visiting Nice.”
The location was great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the reception stayed open late, offering to store luggage. The staff were very friendly and communicative, even helping me with lactose‑free breakfast options that were cooked especially for me, and there was good coffee available. The place is really close to the train station, only about 10 minutes on foot. The breakfast options are still quite limited and could be improved a bit.
“Satisfaisant, mais l'hôtel a des marges de progrès...”
The room was spotless and very quiet. The breakfast, however, did not live up to a three‑star hotel standard; there were few options and the food quality was low‑grade. The hallway lights kept flickering on and off at night.
“Вежливый персонал, всегда приветливый, номер чистый, с красивым окном на дорогу! Все было просто замечательно!”
The location is wonderful, everything is within walking distance! There is nothing negative.
