The facility was closed even though the reservation had been confirmed; we had to scramble for an alternative solution. It was completely absurd to have booked through Booking and then find the place shut.

The peaceful spot delivered on all our expectations and the breakfast was genuinely excellent. The bedding was clean, and the mattress and pillows had good firmness. However, the room lighting was terrible—just enough to navigate. On the second night and the following morning, there was no hot water, forcing us to take cold showers. The shower area posed a health risk because of its sloping floor and lack of safety bars. There was no internet, despite the website advertising free Wi‑Fi, which was a major inconvenience. The pool was unusable, only half full and filled with a dark yellow liquid, though swimming wasn’t on our agenda.

The interior and exterior setting were lovely, the bedding was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and we enjoyed chatting with the manager. The room was not heated upon arrival, and the bathroom and toilet opened onto the bedroom, compromising privacy.

The bedding and bathroom were great, the coffee was excellent, and Samuel’s warm welcome was a highlight. The house décor and large pool were also impressive. Unfortunately, there were dead spiders and millipedes on the floor that hadn’t been collected, and many insects entered without being removed. Window screens were suggested, and one bedroom door didn’t close properly; we had to adjust it because there was too much space between the door and the floor, allowing everything to pass through. It’s a pity that minor repairs are needed, especially given the high price. Overall, it was a good stay for a top wedding and a pleasant encounter with Samuel.
