A quiet spot with a clean, comfy room that had everything you could ask for, but once the office closed you couldn't reach anyone if something went wrong, and the parking was on soggy ground.

The location was great, the room and facilities were perfect for a weekend away, and the setting was excellent. Depending on whether a conference is going on, parking can be a little hit and miss, but don’t let that put you off; it’s usually fine.

The place was peaceful with nice views and reasonably priced, and the accommodation was warm and comfortable, yet there was no hardstanding for vehicles and after days of heavy rain you could easily get stuck in the mud.

The setting was lovely and quiet, especially for student‑type rooms, but the room layout was a bit awkward and a small side table would have been handy.

Conveniently located, yet I was the sole guest, so there was no lounge or cooking facilities to use.
