The owner is a sweet, friendly grandfather who reminds me of a fairy‑tale sage (XD). The shared bathroom layout includes only one women's and one men's bathroom, so when the place is full the wait can be longer, but on weekdays it’s not an issue.

The hotel is right by the yacht marina, which makes it a very convenient and relaxing spot, but it’s a pity they didn’t put much effort into mosquito protection.

The owner was very friendly and the room felt spacious, though a table would have made it even better; the only downside was that mosquitoes still showed up at night in summer, so bring some repellent.

It was pleasantly quiet, just a short walk from Fort Zeelandia, with a nice roomy and clean bedroom, and we were welcomed enthusiastically by the host; nothing to complain about at all—absolutely perfect.
