“A rural in idyll in a historic building”
This medieval castle sits in its own historic village, reached by a journey across blooming fields in the summer. Since the 1930s it has operated as an agricultural training centre, and it now hosts conferences and courses as well as offering hotel rooms. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the courtyard and battlements. The small multi‑tasking staff are welcoming and helpful. The restaurant offers a small menu of light meals and local beer in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning, with swift and friendly service.
