I couldn’t get in because both exits were shut, so getting there was already a hassle. The elevator was broken, the water was only lukewarm, the room doors and walls hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the duvet cover was dirty.

Getting to South Bend was a quick drive. The hotel feels dated, the elevator moves at a snail’s pace, and the decor is old.

I booked through a third‑party site, spoke with a representative who promised a king‑size bed and no pet fee, yet I arrived to a different room type and was charged $25.00 per night for a pet after being told no fee. The room rate was higher than quoted, and a $50.00 pet fee will be disputed. The continental breakfast was awful—powered eggs, hard bagels, Folgers coffee—absolutely disgusting. The front desk staff were unfriendly. This hotel is on my never‑visit list in Indiana.
