“Wonderful facilities and staff but questionable charges”
The staff were extremely kind and friendly. The facilities were great and the rooms beautiful. I especially liked all of the Zambian‑made bathroom products. The bar/restaurant lists prices in Kwacha, but when you pay, they charge in USD and use a conversion rate that benefits them, so the guest ends up paying far more than the menu lists in Kwacha. I wasn’t offered the option to pay by card in Kwacha. I was a bit taken aback by this and see it as an extremely shady business practice.
“Very comfortable with lovely staff”
I enjoyed a lovely night at Kamunjilla Lodge, though I wish I could have stayed longer. It’s close to town centre yet very quiet, and the rooms are very comfortable. Dorothy and Sylvia were kind, helpful, and accommodating, taking care of all my activity arrangements without any trouble. Highly recommended.
“Home away from home. 1000% recommended lodge”
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially because of the exceptional staff and hospitality. From the moment I arrived, Dorothy, the manager, was absolutely amazing—welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. She kindly let me leave my luggage at the hotel while I travelled to Zimbabwe, which was extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. Stanly, the chef, was also fantastic—very hospitable, friendly, and always welcoming. The food he prepares is absolutely delicious, and his cooking was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. Ms Silvia was always smiling, helpful, and so pleasant, making every interaction with her a pleasure. A special thank you to Gerald for taking such great care of the beautiful gardens and keeping the surroundings well maintained. Mulunde handled my transfers during my stay; he was honestly the best driver I had throughout my trip—professional, reliable, incredibly kind, and a lovely person. We shared many wonderful stories and conversations along the way, which made every journey enjoyable. He is genuinely one of the kindest people I met during my trip. Thank you, Mulunde, for making my transfers such a pleasant experience; you are truly a credit to the hotel! The hotel itself is in a very convenient location, just a six‑minute drive from the airport. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped with good facilities, while the beautiful garden surroundings create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The only downside was that I stayed just 2 nights.
“Sehr persönliche nette kleine Lodge mit super Beratung zu Auflpgen, Safaris etc. tolles Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis”
The staff were incredibly friendly and gave excellent advice on activities and excursions even before I arrived. The rooms were nice and fully equipped with shampoo, soap, bathrobe, and everything else you could need. There’s a small restaurant on site where everyone is very flexible with personal requests and timing.

The location was good and the staff were very kind. However, the facilities overall were not new.
