The setting is a very quiet village, yet still close enough to towns like Settle and Skipton. The pub was cozy with a real fire, perfect for cold evenings, and the rooms were comfortable. The shower could have used a shelf for the gel since there was nowhere else to put the bottle but the floor, and a few hooks on the back of the door for coats would have helped.

The rooms are excellent, and both the pub and the food are superb, whether for dinner or breakfast!

Nicely decorated and comfy rooms. Unfortunately the experience we had with our evening meal didn’t meet our standards. We waited over 40mins for our desserts that never came. We had to go to the bar eventually to ask for the bill and for them to take the desserts off. The tiny scallops are not worth the £17. And the veggie sausages with breakfast were rock hard and like cardboard. No attention for vegetarians unfortunately
