The surroundings are beautiful, the people are very friendly, and the facilities are clean. Nothing else, I was very satisfied.

The building is a nice monumental structure and the area is good, but the house is very cluttered. The room itself was tidy. The bathroom is very small and you have to bend over the toilet. Breakfast is too expensive; it’s very basic and I’d give it a value of 5 euros instead of 15.

“Old family farmhouse with great value for money!”

I met a very friendly family and enjoyed a large breakfast spread, while my room was clean with a comfy mattress. The TV, Wi‑Fi and bathroom worked well, and the old farmhouse setting—roof of a 1600s building—was charming. It was excellent value, especially since I was less than 10 km from Utrecht. If you’re okay staying in someone’s house, maybe with a small group, this is a solid stop. The location in a small village outside Utrecht made finding evening food tricky; biking there meant a 40‑minute round trip to the nearest supermarket. Paying with cash was a bit annoying when traveling light, and a more formal bike‑storage spot would help.

“The B&B was OK”

The hotel was close to everything I needed, and the area was nice. However, the shower water was a hassle: cold water came from a bucket before hot water reached the tap, so I couldn’t shower for more than five minutes. The water pressure was so weak that it took five minutes just to get wet. The room felt cramped, with two beds.

The room wasn’t luxurious, but that’s to be expected at this price. Still, Paul and Lettie made everything feel welcoming, and the nostalgic farmhouse had a great vibe that made us feel at home. Thanks for your kindness, Paul and Lettie!
