“Didn't end up staying, too loud music”

The staff were friendly. We arrived with a small room while others who had booked for the same price had a massive, much nicer room. Our shower didn't work, which they said was being fixed. We moved to another room but we didn't end up staying for the night because they had loud music playing at the pub until 2 am. We also worried as the car park was full so had to park on a broken double yellow. So made the journey home that night.

“No heating through out the evening and night and morning a miserable stay one of the worst I had to”

Breakfast was decent, but Halstead itself is a charming Essex town, far more so than the rooms here. There was no heating, Netflix stopped working at midnight, and the shower was poor.

“A short stay after a shopping trip to the outlets.”

The room was spacious and the heater worked well once we figured out how to use it. Free parking was available and the hotel was close to shops, a local park, restaurants, and takeaways. We slept well and felt the price was worth it, with plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The décor felt a bit tired.

Everything was great; I would definitely stay again. I didn’t realize the accommodation was the Dorrington Hotel and Pub, so the name should change because I couldn’t find a Halstead room. Otherwise, it was brilliant.
