The place is in a good spot and the host was friendly, but the water supply had issues and it took a while to fix.

The host was very friendly, the location is excellent, and there’s a nice seating area outside to relax. The beds were warm and comfortable.

I slept on a bed that just wasn’t up to par, and the bathroom window lacked proper curtains, making it feel exposed.

The first part of the stay was rough, and for R2000 a night the room was far below what you’d expect; it smelled bad, felt very outdated, and the windows were hard to open for fresh air. There was only one fan, while the two roof fans in the bedroom were so loud we couldn’t sleep. The bottled water they handed us was dirty and not drinkable. Using the bathroom was a hassle because we had to pass through another room at night, and there was no soap at the basin for hand washing. Overall it was a very disappointing experience—at that price you’d anticipate comfort after a long day’s drive.

The location was good, but the room lacked a shower and mosquitoes were a problem.
