I didn’t end up staying because of a booking error that over‑sold the rooms; the only good thing was that it’s above a pub. The room that was offered to us was not fit for purpose.

Very convenient and not expensive for London; the room was small but nicely furnished and the bathroom was modern, yet there was an awful smell from the bathroom—probably the toilet—that lingered in the bedroom all night, so we slept with the windows open; the smell faded in the morning as we were checking out.

It was clean and comfortable with an excellent location, though a bit impersonal; I might book again because of the great location.

The location was perfect for our short stay and the bar staff were friendly, but the room’s cleanliness was unacceptable (Churchill); the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner bottles were empty, we found unknown debris in the shower, the fan was broken (fixed with brown tape) and covered in dust, surfaces hadn’t been wiped properly, the kettle and coffee machine held old water, a used hair tie was in the kitchen, all the lampshades were wonky, the walls needed repainting, and the place really needs more care and attention; also, many flights of stairs made it hard for heavy luggage, and on departure we had to step over laundry bags to exit; for £189 per night with no breakfast option I expected at least a clean room; I emailed management but have received no response except that the item I left in the fridge was not there, so I guess the cleaners threw it away.

The bed linen was clean and the mattress comfortable, yet there were many steps to reach the top‑floor room, the large decorative lamps had broken, wonky shades, and a beer mat was stuck to the ceiling with Elastoplasts.
