After a grueling day on the Trans Swiss Trail, the Dolceresio proved to be the ideal place to catch some sleep before tackling the last stretch. The breakfast was generous, beautifully presented and gave me the boost I needed to finish the trail. All in all, a solid pick for hikers looking for a comfy pit stop.

This little hotel right on the shore of Lake Lugano feels like it was set up with love. The morning buffet featured tasty local specialties, and the owner was incredibly warm and easygoing. I’d definitely come back for the same relaxed vibe.

The breakfast spread was outstanding – a real variety, and the bread and grain muesli were homemade by the owner herself. My room was well‑equipped, the beds were super comfy, and the bathroom had a rainforest‑style shower that was a nice touch. I’d recommend this place without hesitation.
