The food was excellent, but I wanted to take macro photos of insects on a trail behind the rooms. That meant crossing a small wooden bridge over a small river. When they found out, they removed the planks of the bridge, so I had to hire them for Tangkoko and only got a handful of photos of insects and birds. I ended up leaving early because of this.

Iwan is a super friendly tour guide who really knows the jungle and takes the time to show you everything. He and his family arranged everything for us; food, tours and taxi. The food was delicious, and the accommodation was clean and comfy. We totally recommend both, the stay and the jungle tour to anyone looking for an authentic experience. Thanks a lot, Iwan!
