“Disaster”

Just the location. It's very old, rundown, dirty. No maintenance at all. Cleaning largely insufficient. Gym doesn't work. Breakfast very poor.

“Sensationell - mit etwas Optimierungsbedarf”

Our stay was really excellent! The staff were in good spirits and friendly. Our room with private pool on the first floor was breathtaking. Definitely book the breakfast in the floating basket – a real highlight! Overall the hotel and service are high level, but we have a couple of suggestions to take the guest experience to a new level. 1. The bar. The quality of mixed drinks was unfortunately hair‑raising – like in a cheap bar. This can be fixed with targeted cocktail training, but is strongly recommended. Especially the Caipirinha, a national drink, must be mastered and not taste watery. 2. The staff are friendly, but the tone with guests is a bit too casual for a prestigious house (more suitable for a 3‑4 star hotel). For a 5* establishment I expect focused training on attentiveness and how the guest is guided through their journey. As said: it was very good! But not yet 5* level. For us it was okay, but in direct comparison to the other hotels we booked, we noticed this (that was the Apenunga Eco Hotel and the Gran Marquise in Fortaleza).

“Un letargo interminable de placer (con pésimo WiFi)”

Essenza feels like a place where every dream comes true, as if a magical godmother had written everything just for you and decided to gift you the best vacation of your life. The staff were incredibly attentive, every detail seemed designed so you wouldn't have to worry about anything, and your room literally sits inside the pool. Our days were filled with amazing breakfasts, reading, and then… I can’t even remember what came next. I was so ecstatic that my mind slipped into an endless state of bliss. I don’t know if it was a vacation, a dream, or a religious experience, but I just knew I didn’t want it to end. The only thing that fell short was the Wi‑Fi: terrible, truly terrible. It was practically impossible to connect from anywhere in the hotel. I had to take a very important work video call—because I’m a very important person—at the reception, sitting as if I were checking in for an hour. That experience was hardly compatible with the magical godmother who had crafted the rest of my stay.
