The beds were comfortable, the hostel stayed clean, and the location was convenient. However, the room door behaved like an open toilet door; the lock code was unreliable, so the door stayed open or made a loud click. The staff were unbelievably unfriendly, the worst I’ve encountered in the Philippines, and they couldn’t help with planning at all.

Everything was spotless all day, the free breakfast was decent, and everything was a three‑minute walk to Alona Beach along the highway.

The place is great, and the service staff are super friendly with excellent advice. The Wi‑Fi isn’t always reliable, and there’s no light over the bed.

The hostel feels somewhat modern, the staff are polite, and there are plenty of toilets and showers so crowds are minimal. I chose this place hoping for a better experience and fewer headaches, but I got the opposite. Breakfast was ridiculously small, so you’ll leave the hostel if you need a proper meal. Worse, guests are asked to leave a five‑star review for free coffee, which makes the high rating less credible. The hostel is extremely loud—earplugs are a must. I had a knee injury and asked for a refund on my last night to avoid stairs; they said it was “their problem” and wouldn’t do anything. If you want a quiet hostel with decent breakfast and some customer care, look elsewhere. The room had no window, so it felt like a basement.

The central location is great, though there’s a bar next door that’s a bit noisy before 11 pm, then it calms down. The room’s soundproofing is a bit lacking, but everything else is fine. The staff are very friendly—big thumbs up—but the sound isolation could be better.
