Hotel Pension Baronesse, a family‑run 4‑star guesthouse in Vienna’s Josefstadt, sits just two tram stops from Ringstraße and the university. Traditional Viennese décor, chandeliers, and courtyard‑view rooms feature cable TV, free WiFi, and hairdryers. A lift‑access building, 24‑hour reception, and nearby Lange Gasse tram and Schottentor U2 station enhance convenience.

The accommodation was clean and tidy, the location was great, and the staff were friendly. It was fairly priced for the city location, but the soft furnishings and carpets looked a little dated and tired. There was no kettle in the bedroom, so we had to get drinks from reception.

The hotel is fairly central and well served by the tram. Two trams pass every 7 minutes right under the windows, which is quite noisy despite the double‑glazed windows.

The room was clean, and although the furniture is old because the building was renovated, you still have everything you need. We found the temperature just right; in summer it can get warm in the room since there's no air conditioning. The tram stops are right nearby, giving quick access to transport. Parking isn’t included, but you can leave your car on the street for a fee. I recommend it.
