“The Place Worth to Visit”
The castle is truly remarkable. The host, who is actually the owner, and her husband are working hard to renovate it and give it new life. The room and bathroom were spotless, and the view from the window was lovely. There are great spots to walk a dog along the river or through the fields. We stayed entirely on our own and had a fantastic experience! I don’t understand why some people complain; when you book, you see the photos and you know exactly what you’re getting. The only downside is that the town around the castle offers very few dining options. Most places have closed, leaving only the Vienna Caffe open, which was good, but it’s closed on Mondays. We found a bakery on the market square that was great, but it’s closed on Sundays. Other than that, there are only a few pizza, kebab, and Vietnamese take‑aways. Keep that in mind. There are two supermarkets, but they’re also closed on Sundays, as is common in Germany. The town itself is very pretty, with a working narrow‑gauge railway.
