“Very disappointing and distressing experience”
The room was so cramped that I couldn’t even open a standard suitcase; the hotel claimed the square‑metre figure was disclosed, but didn’t mention bed size, furniture, or usable space, so I had no idea how tiny it was. I asked right away for a larger room and offered to pay the difference, but the hotel was full and offered no alternative. Worse, the receptionist raised his voice, called me “the cheapest room” guest, and made me feel humiliated right in front of another guest who laughed. I cried in front of him and my vacation was ruined; I had to book a new place that cost twice as much. I reached out later, but they never refunded or resolved anything. The tiny room was disappointing, but the treatment was far worse.
