It’s the closest option to the metro, but the whole place smells like dogs. They allow all pets, including service animals, and every room and hallway is carpeted. The price no longer reflects the value unless they replace the old carpet or assign pet‑friendly rooms without carpet. Service quality has also dropped, so I’ll look for another hotel in the area next time.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for over a decade, and the location near Alexandria’s old town is unbeatable, but this visit was disappointing: the staff didn’t feel welcoming, the rooms had a musty odor, the pull‑out sofa was broken and sagging, and the breakfast didn’t meet my usual standards. I’m unsure if the new ownership is the cause, but I’m hesitant to return when I visit Alexandria again, even though the location remains fantastic. The hotel was still decent, but after ten years of great experiences, it’s disheartening to see a decline in staff and amenities.

I brought my family for a 10‑night stay, and we encountered no problems at all; every staff member was friendly, the breakfast was superb, and the area was very quiet. When we return to Alexandria, we’ll definitely stay here again.

Room was comfortable, bed was comfortable.it was quiet. Walking distance for the metro and Old Town Alexandria. Free shuttle for anywhere within 1 mile. Breakfast was meh.the "hot" foods were cold. Parking a car was $50 per night, but it was secure parking
