Seaview Cottage

“Good but needs a bit of a clean and refresh”

The cottage was roomy, with a laundry area and a short walk to the water. The living area and kitchen were generously sized. We didn’t use the breakfast items that were provided, but there was a half loaf of bread, some pastrami, and butter, I think. All the dishes were incredibly dirty and we had to scrub and wash them probably three times before using them, which really put a damper on the experience and made the place feel unclean. Check the kitchen/dinnerware before use. One of the kitchen chairs was broken, and there were half‑used condiments left in the fridge doors.

“Great View and comfy beds”

The view was beautiful and the location was really nice. The beds and sofa were comfy. The place is quite dated. The back door wouldn’t lock from the inside. The front door jammed and was hard to open. Lots of things were dusty and old, like dusty items in the bedroom cupboards. There was old food in the pantry and the fridge. The place needs a thorough clean‑up and maintenance.

The setting was fantastic. The lawn was big and spacious. Even though it was right on the state highway, it was still quiet.

“Amazing sunsets”

The ocean view was great, the house was well equipped, and it had two separate bedrooms and a spacious living room area, making it ideal even for five people. Road No. 3 is close to the house (between the house and the ocean), so it can get busy. It wasn’t disturbing for us, but if you’re more sensitive, it might be.

The host was very nice and prepared milk and bread for us because there were no convenience stores nearby. The room was cozy, clean, and tidy, and from the window you could see the sea sunset. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we stayed. I will definitely come back.
