The sea view, the pool and the many different spots to lounge and linger outdoors were simply fantastic, and the beach was just a 13‑minute walk away, which is fine though the return path is quite steep. Our cabana was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable, but we did have some trouble sleeping because strong night winds made the trees scrape against the metal roof, creating a lot of noise—that’s just the jungle for you. The listing on the booking site was a bit vague about the lack of a washing machine (there is a laundry service) and about the communal kitchen, which isn’t the one shown in the photos but is located at the back and a bit cumbersome to use; that could be described more clearly. Also, guests should know that there are about four restaurants within walking distance and nothing else—no small shop or similar—so you need to plan ahead if you don’t have a car and want to cook.

Todo Bien is a beautiful place with amazing views of the jungle and the sea. The hosts were very friendly and the rooms were nice. I highly recommend the yoga and massages. The walk up to Todo Bien is pretty steep, but it’s worth it, so make sure you have a taxi driver’s number and the hosts are also very helpful.

“Beautiful property with the nicest staff - but the double room is absolutely not worth the money”

The hotel's location is stunning, with breathtaking views and plenty of outdoor spaces to unwind. The yoga shala is a real highlight, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. However, our deluxe double room was a letdown - it was cramped and the 'sea view' was non-existent due to surfboards blocking the window. The ceiling fan was faulty, there was no key to lock the door, and the shared bathroom was in a sorry state. It's a shame that the property seems to be lacking in maintenance.

“beautiful jungle accommodation”

I had an incredible time at Todo Bien, which is nestled in the heart of the jungle. The accommodation was beautifully rustic and surprisingly comfortable, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The grounds are stunning, with a gorgeous pool and plenty of shady spots to read. The walk to the nearby beach is short and sweet, and the staff - including Yannis, who was a fantastic host - were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were generous and delicious, and the local staff were great too.

I have to say, the approach to this hotel is pretty wild - it's perched on top of a hill with a road that's basically a steep incline. Getting there in a normal car can be a challenge, especially with the potholes they were patching up on the final ascent. But once you're there, it's a different story. The hotel is nestled in the trees, surrounded by monkeys and birds, and the view is just stunning. Our room was huge and the pool had a sea view, which was a lovely bonus.
