The owner was very thoughtful and gave a lot of travel advice; I love Japan. We were even sent to the airport for free on the way back. Breakfast varied every day. The only negatives were that the airport was a bit far and the shower had only two out of three water jets working.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, cheap, and the staff were an extra bonus—extremely friendly and speaking English. If you love coffee, I personally haven’t had a better one in Indonesia yet. I definitely recommend Pintu Biru.

The location in Wamena is convenient, only a 20‑minute walk from the airport. Sonia and Nicky were especially friendly, helpful, and shared insightful stories about Papua. Sonia helped find a trekking guide, which is best organized locally. Nicky started roasting his own coffee brand, and his cappuccino was the best we had in the last five weeks of travel. The place isn’t very luxurious, but that’s exactly its charm.

A fantastic hostel right next to both Wamena centre and the airport; the owners and staff are top‑class and nothing was a hassle. They’ve created pleasant common areas for guests to relax, and the breakfast, coffee, and food menu are all excellent. Highly recommended!
