“Reinenforce policies and procedures.”
I appreciated the friendly night‑shift staff and the location. However, I’m formally complaining about my booking (room 149, confirmation 6873763414 under Val Holiday). The night‑shift front‑desk gentleman was pleasant when I arrived around 11 pm, but the card key he gave to my partner who arrived later wasn’t active—apparently the woman who handed it to him didn’t activate it, and I only found out after we left. The door’s security was faulty; it wouldn’t lock properly, and I had to knock to open it, which made me feel uneasy. A picture shows screws on the inside of the door and a breach from the outside, so I’m shocked that anyone would rent this room without fixing it. The dining table in the kitchen was a solid‑rock look and wasn’t cleaned; I wiped it myself, but that’s not acceptable for guests. The air conditioner had a panel covering it, making me think it was broken. I locked and bolted my door, but there was no chain lock, so it seemed easy to break in. As someone who’s worked with doors, that frame should have been replaced immediately. The breakfast bar was decent, but the cleaning crew knocked on my door before checkout time, making us feel rushed and upsetting my boyfriend. The purpose of the stay was to give a hard‑working man a restful night, so anything that upset him upset me. If I hadn’t had someone with me, I would have found another place.
