From the moment you hit the driveway you feel at ease; the scenery is breathtaking and the cabins are kept in top shape. We called the Blue Gum cabin our home and it was almost magical to swap screens for the forest sounds and the sky’s daily color shift. It’s the perfect reset spot. Little extras like freshly ground coffee, sweet treats and board games add a special touch to the getaway. We were visiting family, so we didn’t get to fire up the BBQ or use the fire pit, but we’re definitely planning a return to soak up the calm of Hepburn Retreat.

The place was incredibly private with a stunning landscape, and the staff had plenty of thoughtful touches that made the stay feel special. There was honestly nothing to dislike.

The retreat was beautiful and relaxing, completely self‑contained. Everything was perfect, and I couldn't find any faults.

I appreciated the peaceful, tranquil atmosphere that made for a relaxing holiday. However, the lack of a microwave or hair dryer—because of the off‑grid power setup—was disappointing; those basic amenities would have made the stay much more comfortable.
