I arrived at a very quiet spot where Silvia welcomed me into her home with a warm smile, offered local tips, and, as a fellow road‑tripper, gave countless recommendations for nearby sights. She also prepared a varied and generous breakfast each morning, which I found excellent. The room was comfortable, featuring a spacious private bathroom with great water pressure, and I was able to work remotely without any issues. It served as a solid base for exploring Saracena, Castrovillari, and Morano Calabro.

I stayed just one night at this charming place while passing through, making it a perfect stop to “break up” my journey. The location is superb, just a few kilometres from the highway exit. Silvia, the owner, was incredibly kind and, together with her mother, made me feel right at home. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. For animal lovers, the B&B La Mariposa offers an extra reason to stay.
