“utilitarian but not romantic”

The spot is super convenient, just a five‑minute drive to the university and downtown, and the wild courtyard was a highlight, yet the building looks very dated and some parts are falling apart; I booked a King Deluxe but ended up with a wall view, a dank and uncomfortable room where everything seemed crooked and deteriorating, a dead bug in the bathroom light, terrible TV reception, and a sad continental breakfast that we chose to skip even though it was free.

“good place to stay for a weekend”

The room was spotless and within walking distance to IU, but the décor felt a bit old‑fashioned, the chair was worn, and there was a faint musty odor.

“A nice place to get away on a budget.”

The flowers were pretty, the bed comfortable, the place was relatively clean and bug‑free, but the TV and reception were awful, staff were hard to locate, the building looked old and in desperate need of upgrades, it seemed abandoned from the outside, they appear to be remodeling, and the price was fair.
