The rooms were solid, and the staff were warm and helpful, and the on‑site food was pretty good. The only downside was that there was no coffee service before 07:00 and no maker in the room.
“Excellent stay, and already planning to return !!”
The spot was perfect—quiet end of the beach, clean and comfy facilities that fit the vibe. I spotted plenty of monkeys, the mountain hike was tough but rewarded with spectacular views, and the restaurants, especially breakfast, were great. The only issue was the bungalow shower, which could use a refresh, though it was clean, which matters most.
“Génial.”
Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly, the setting absolutely sublime, the nature right at the door was lush, and the service was excellent. It’s cut off from the rest of Venao, so you can’t really consider it part of the city, which is a real plus if, like us, you don’t enjoy the odd vibe of the rest of Playa Venao. Nothing to complain about.
Everything was exceptionally good I loved everything. The location is a bit far from all the restaurants, stores and the people
We booked the little casita up on the mountain but were upgraded to a beachfront cabana for an extra $15 a night; it was very roomy, right on the beach, and cleaned daily, located on the quiet side of Venao Beach. The La Barca bar staff weren’t very friendly, there was almost no one around, and the sunbeds had pillows scattered on the floor and were soaked from rain. We were there during low season.
