Everything was perfect: the house, the pool, the view, the facilities, and the owners. Adding a dishwasher would be a huge upgrade, but we understand the space is limited.

The host was great to communicate with. The accommodation had all comforts. The terrace was beautiful with a view of the Green Douro valley. Every morning there were fresh rolls for breakfast, and additional items were added as requested. The host also booked a nice boat trip on the Douro for us. The pool was good and there were plenty of nice spots to chill around the house. The bed on the upper bedroom was a bit small.

9.0/10. The property sits in a quiet, peaceful spot with spectacular views. The house is very well maintained, but you should open the windows to let in the air—mosquito nets might be handy. We didn’t need air conditioning because the windows were open. The swimming pool is excellent: shallow enough for kids to play and deep enough for adults to swim a bit.

Het was een mooie locatie met uitzicht op de bergen en het water. In de keuken was alles wat je wenst aanwezig. Elke dag verse broodjes naast de al aanwezige andere ontbijtproducten. Meerdere zitplaatsen om het huis. Alles is heel goed verzorgd. De toegangsweg was onverhard en vrij steil. En het zwembad van Casa da Eira lag veelal in de schaduw waardoor het redelijk fris was, net als dat het terras rond 17.00 ook al volledig in de schaduw lag

A total of 10.0/10. This place is a stone cottage with a private pool overlooking the Douro, surrounded by a well‑kept forest. We spent a week there, walking safely alone on the forest trails and even spotting a train passing through the trees toward the Tua from a distance. Every morning we were served fresh bread, milk, local sweet, eggs, and cheese for a complete breakfast. The privacy and outdoor space were abundant, and the view of the river was stunning.
