The accommodation sat right on Bautzen’s main square, opposite the Town Hall, and a short walk brought you to every major landmark, restaurants, supermarkets, and a sizable shopping mall just a block away. The room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy, with a small kitchenette tucked into the closet—unused but appreciated. The bathroom felt a bit dated, though it was clean and functional. The arrival process was confusing: the front desk was closed in the afternoon, so we had to call to open the door, but the phone number they gave us was wrong, requiring several attempts before we could reach them. It didn’t ultimately affect our stay negatively.

“Gut,aber einiges zu reparieren!”

The location was superb, the rooms were clean and came with towels, and the kitchen was tidy and well‑equipped with tea, coffee, and a few spices. The building’s narrow staircase and single room per floor across five floors gave it a quirky charm, though the cleaning staff had to haul everything up and down. The ladies were very friendly. Unfortunately, the owner needs to fix the kitchen tap—it wobbles so much you’re afraid it’ll fall in your hand. The heating in the living area is hard to use or broken, and the bathroom heater isn’t effective either—just old. The window by the bed (I had the Marktblick room) opens in a tilt‑and‑slide mode, but when fully opened it only hinges on one attachment, which is unsettling. In the kitchen, the oil was unusable, stale, and smelled awful, so I left it outside.

“Wunderbare Unterkunft in einem historischen Gebäude”

The pension sits right in the city centre, giving a direct view of the Hauptmarkt and the Rathaus. The room was very spacious, clean and stylish. Everything was fantastic, thank you!

Staying right in the old town centre, I enjoyed the evening ambience and the tiny kitchenette. However, the pillow and blanket were too heavy and I felt cold in both the bathroom and the room.
