The room was spacious, the showers were hot, and the wifi worked well near the router, but the temperature inside was uncomfortable and there was no fan to cool it down. The host was nice.

I was in Merzouga with Youssef at his good accommodation, a person I’ll visit again; it felt just like home. Everything with Youssef and his family went smoothly.

Nothing at all! The photos shown on Booking didn’t match reality; it was a misleading advertisement, just a simple country house with nothing nearby. I arrived at dusk and the host told me the price I paid wasn’t the correct one (saying there was a pricing error) and wanted me to add 20€, even though I’d already paid 11€ on Booking (which I still think is pricey). I told him to wait until the next day for the extra charge, but after the host left, he became unreachable despite multiple calls, which is really unfortunate. It turns out he’s a merchant in central Merzouga and can’t move if something happens. Moreover, the room was a furnace; we couldn’t close the windows at night, so at 5 am we left without breakfast, which was included. Normally, when a host notices a pricing issue, they cancel the reservation outright rather than waiting for you to be inside to say they were wrong and add a surcharge. Tourism can’t function with this kind of practice. If you can’t use platforms like Booking or Airbnb, you shouldn’t. It was a truly lamentable experience. I’d advise avoiding this place; even for 1 euro it’s too expensive. It was a very bad experience I went through.
