I liked the location and the rooms are spacious. I didn’t like the lack of a microwave to heat food, and the old building was noisy, so we didn’t sleep all night.

The host’s attentiveness and the spotless rooms made my visit a pleasure.

We canceled our reservation on the day without any notice! We didn’t reserve! We booked five nights in Rome, from 14 to 19 October. On the day of our arrival in Rome, we tried to contact the place to find out if there was an access code because we hadn’t received anything, but we got no reply. When we got to the location, at the apartment door, there was no reception, no one. We tried to call and the person who answered said there was no reservation under our name and hung up! We asked a local resident for help to call, and she received the same answer. We called Booking and discovered at that very moment that the place couldn’t host us, and they canceled our reservation while we were at the door! We were with luggage, 16:30 in the afternoon, with no place to sleep! The place said there was a “serious problem in the bathroom” that day and the room wasn’t available, but this was never informed before! The response from the place (and from Booking) was that they would cancel the reservation at no cost so we could book somewhere else! THAT ON THE DAY WE ARRIVED! All accommodations that day were costing four times more because it was last minute, the biggest absurdity I’ve ever experienced. We had to find a last‑minute place to sleep. It was a honeymoon trip, I cried a lot, we lost an entire night because of this, and we only found another place around 19:00 and it cost 2,000 euros in the same neighborhood, while we had booked it for 600. We will have to sue Booking for the absurdity we went through.
