The location was fine, but the onsen, while nice, left me uneasy because of hygiene; a pool of mossy water looked pretty disgusting and the smell inside the ryokan was off‑putting, so even the breakfast, which was the only meal served, tasted bad because of the strong odor.
Parking right in front of the building made getting around easy, but the bath water was disappointingly lukewarm.
I enjoyed soaking in the hot spring, petting the cats, and the quiet, nature‑rich setting, although the glamping area gets chilly in the mornings and evenings and the barbecue dinner isn’t to everyone’s taste.
The place is surrounded by lush nature, the food was so plentiful I couldn’t finish it, the cats were adorable, the restroom was conveniently close, and the bed was very comfortable, yet the glamping window was a bit dirty and the slippers were hard to wear.
I was really looking forward to this hotel, but it had some major letdowns. They have cats roaming around inside, which wasn't announced anywhere - I think that's something they should definitely mention. The place had a weird smell and didn't feel very clean overall. The 24-hour hot tub was a big draw for me, but it was lukewarm at best, and the changing room was super gross with hair everywhere.
